Garage and switching vehicles

The garage is your vehicle overview in Berta: here you switch between your vehicles with a tap. Each vehicle gets its own card – and from your vehicle photo, Berta draws a personal AI illustration that decorates that card.

How many vehicles can I add?

The free plan includes 2 vehicles per account; Berta Pro raises the limit. Each vehicle has its own record with entries, reminders, tires and costs. That keeps the histories cleanly separate, even if you run several vehicles.

Which vehicle types does Berta support?

Berta supports three vehicle types, each set during onboarding:

• Cars – the standard type, with the full feature set.
• Motorcycles – bike-specific maintenance reminders suggested by Berta (chain lubrication, tire age and valve clearance); you review and confirm each suggestion before it is created. The periodic inspection is shifted to the first month of the registered season when a due date falls in the off-season, and the app enters a quiet mode during off-season months.
• Campers – habitation-specific taxonomy including gas and leak checks, a storage checklist and camper illustrations.

How do I switch between my vehicles?

In the garage you simply tap the vehicle you want to switch to it. After that, all views – capture, reminders, costs – refer to the selected vehicle.

Where does the illustration on the card come from?

From the photo you upload of your car, motorcycle or camper, Berta draws a personal AI illustration. It appears on the vehicle card and makes your garage recognizable at a glance – instead of a plain list, you see your vehicles as individual cards.

How do I add another vehicle?

You add a new vehicle just like the first: by photographing the registration or manually. Berta reads out make, model, year, country, plate and other fields. For how adding works in detail, see Getting started.

How do I add the photo for the illustration?

For the AI illustration, you upload a photo of the vehicle. From this image, Berta draws the illustration that appears on the vehicle card. Photograph it free-standing and well lit, so the drawing reflects your vehicle clearly and recognizably.

Why is the garage worth it with several vehicles?

With separate records you keep the right inspection dates, consumption and costs in view for each vehicle. At resale you generate a resale PDF for exactly the selected vehicle – without data from your other vehicles getting mixed in.

Reminders are separate per vehicle too: HU/TÜV, service, tire swaps and custom dates always belong to the vehicle they were set for. When you switch vehicles in the garage, you immediately see that vehicle's upcoming dates and breakdowns. So the overview stays clear even when you run three very different vehicles – a car, a motorcycle and a camper – with their own deadlines and usage profiles.
